I was honored to be featured in Mt Lebanon Magazine’s recent article, “Selecting a Senior Photographer.” The article, expertly written by a recent Mt Lebanon grad, provided valuable insights into the world of senior photography and highlighted unique perspectives from local photographers.
A LIFELONG PITTSBURGHER
As a lifelong Pittsburgher, I’ve had the privilege of growing up and working in this vibrant city. My passion for photography ignited during my high school years through an apprenticeship with Pittsburgh Filmmakers. The darkroom became my playground, where I found serenity in developing film and crafting prints. This experience laid the foundation for my future career.
Today, I specialize in portrait photography, aiming to transform everyday moments into extraordinary memories. Whether it’s the joy and connection of families, the innocence of newborns, the aspirations of seniors, or the essence of a brand, my goal is to create images that evoke emotions and tell compelling stories.
SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Senior photography holds a special place in my heart. Each session is a unique opportunity to connect with a young person and help them see themselves in a new light. From choosing a beautiful location to selecting props that reflect their individual style, the creative process is both challenging and exhilarating.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is being part of a young person’s journey. It’s an honor to create images that will be cherished for years to come. I believe that a senior’s photos should be a reflection of their individuality and a celebration of this exciting chapter in their lives.
Tips for Choosing a Senior Photographer
When selecting a photographer for your senior portraits, I recommend the following:
- Review the photographer’s portfolio: Look for a style that resonates with you and showcases the photographer’s ability to capture a variety of looks.
- Seek referrals: Ask friends and family for recommendations. Their experiences can be invaluable in helping you make a decision.
- Consider the photographer’s products: Determine whether you prefer digital images, prints, or a combination of both.
In conclusion, I encourage you to read the full article on Mt Lebanon Magazine website for additional insights from other talented photographers in our community.
