I practice what is called “baby led posing.” Meaning I place newborns in poses that are natural and comfortable for them. My focus is on creating newborn portraits that are authentic, minimal, and timeless.

Experience
Newborn safety is paramount. Look for a photographer with experience working with newborns, and who uses safety protocols during the session. Ensure they are skilled in handling and posing babies.
Newborn photography is a very specialized field. It takes a lot of patience. And you’ll want someone who has experience working with newborns, knows how to keep them comfortable and happy, and has experience working with them efficiently!

When it comes to choosing a newborn photographer, trust is another important factor to consider!
Read reviews from other parents or ask for recommendations from friends and family. Hearing about positive experiences can give you confidence in your choice. You may also want to consider their personality because it’s important to feel comfortable and at ease with your newborn photographer.
View their portfolio on their website and social media to be sure that the quality of work they show is the same quality you can expect to receive. After all, newborn photos are a once in a lifetime experience!
