For years I have captured natural posing for families, children, and high school seniors resulting in images that look candid and relaxed. I want to bring this same philosophy to my newborn studio portraits!
My approach to studio photography has always been much more modern than the rigid over lit photos from the past. I aim to capture your newborn as they are, let their personality shine to create simple studio newborn portraits! When in the studio, your baby and your family are the focus…. not the location or the background. My goal is to create images that will stand the test of time. A modern twist on a classic look!

In the studio, I aim to create a comfortable environment for your baby to curl up, stretch out, or possibly even smile. I love documenting babies unique details and personalities. I have found that the best way to do just that is by letting them do their own thing. Keeping it natural and true to who your baby is has led me to focus on capturing authentic newborn portraits.
Simple + Natural Newborn Positions
Let’s make your baby the center of attention of every newborn portrait. I think babies are perfect just as they are. I find newborns simple and natural positions so beautiful, like the way they unfold their limbs to stretch out, scrunch up when placed on their belly, or sleep peacefully in a comfortable swaddle. That is how I want to capture the babies that come into my portrait studio. I feel that the simple, white backdrop in the studio lends to newborn portraits that focus on their personality!
Stress Free Newborn Session
I aim to create a peaceful environment that is free from worry or distraction. Where one can simply gaze at the lovely little ones being their wonderful tiny selves. The session often acts as a respite from the stress of life, and for some that can be a priceless gift.
Safe Environment for Babies
I want to place babies into positions that newborns are meant to be in! That means no unnatural poses or props. Just babies, being babies, in a safe and comfortable setting.

My goal is to capture unique and beautiful portraits of your newborn baby. I will keep your baby safe, warm, and comfortable with the goal of creating classic, timeless images that you can look back on years from now and see your child’s personality shining through.
When each of my three children we born, all I wanted to do was look at them and admire their little faces, tiny toes and fingers. During your baby’s session we’ll probably sit and watch them sleep, watch how they stretch and squirm, giggle at their little yawns and baby sneezes. Babies are so perfect!! I remember my own children and their sense of wonder during every newborn session and try to capture that amazement for you.
