I’ve had three newborns, and one thing that I’ve learned through the life changing experience is that one thing truer than anything is that you’ll miss these newborn days as time flies by.
Meet Thomas and Kaitlynn, an interesting couple, who recently welcomed a adorable newborn girl into their lovely family. After spending time with these new parents while photographing them in their beautifully decorated home full of antique maps from their world travels one feels welcomed and connected with the family. I can only imagine how their home will evolve soon to include newborn and family portraits to the walls of their Pittsburgh home.
When families book a newborn session, it is possible to add-on a maternity session and two first year sessions. That's how I met this amazing family! We met around a year ago at sunset to capture beautiful maternity portraits. It was exciting to hear the news when their baby boy arrived and we scheduled a newborn lifestyle session. We spent a relaxed morning together in their home while capturing portraits of everyone in the family, including their adorable dog. In the following months we met once in the studio for a sitter session and then again back at the field where we first met, but this time to celebrate Benny's first birthday with an outdoor cake smash and family portraits. It's a pleasure to be trusted by families to capture the important moments of their lives!!
I had the pleasure of meeting a super cool family that recently relocated to Pittsburgh. We enjoyed talking about everything from new baby products, camera gadgets, military life, and boxer dogs to traveling. It's truly an honor to be invited into a family's home to capture their story from the beginning, with an added bonus of meeting such lovely people.
I literally love everything about lifestyle sessions! I love meeting new families in their homes, highlighting their home decor in the background, including their pets. Every family and every home is different. It's a challenge to walk into an unknown situation and look for angles that highlight the beauty. I'm excited to feature this family on the blog. (Although I'll never fully understand why anyone would want to move out of Mt. Lebanon!! :) ) I enjoyed talking and laughing with this family throughout the session. Honestly, I usually say that whatever I'm currently working on is my favorites session. I don't know why other than I get fully invested in whatever I'm working on and love it!
