Is there a Pittsburgh spot, neighborhood, or view that feels meaningful to you?
I will always remember my first time on Mount Washington at night. The city was stunning. Also the incline with my family.
What’s your favorite thing about growing up in the Pittsburgh area?
I love the Pittsburgh community. Since my birthday is on July 4, we have gone to the city and celebrated and it is an amazing place to live in.
How do you think your Pittsburgh roots have shaped who you are?
I love how the sports community brings together so many people in Pittsburgh. Everyone is so kind and supportive of our home. It’s shaped me to share the same passion.
What’s one thing you’ll always remember about your senior year?
I’ll always remember the senior traditions that happen each year. This year I am finally a part of them, like senior sunrise. They are small moments that mean a lot.
Which activity, class, or moment had the biggest impact on you?
I had to fill a class requirement and have made so many friends from there that I currently spend time with in my senior year.
How would the people who know you best describe who you are right now?
They describe me as driven and bubbly. I work hard for my future. I also always have a good time with my friends and enjoy making people happy.
What accomplishment from high school are you most proud of?
I am most proud of gaining confidence throughout high school. I realized my worth and was able to speak up when I wasn’t comfortable before.
What’s something you’ve learned about yourself during your senior year?
I’ve learned how to enjoy the present moments while still taking my future seriously. That has helped me to not regret my high school years.
What kind of vibe were you hoping your senior photos would capture?
Natural and personal. I wanted it to feel like myself and not force something I was unfamiliar with.
What drew you to Laura Mares Photography for your senior portraits?
I’ve known her since I was a baby and she is very close to my family. She is a talented photographer who captures real personality with beautiful photos. I was lucky to have her!
How would you describe your personal style in three words?
Authentic, fun, and fashionable
Did you have a favorite location, moment, or part of the session?
My favorite location was the Roberto Clemente bridge because I wanted to have my Pittsburgh home show through my senior photos.
What parts of your personality are captured in your senior photos?
I think that doing my photos in my home of Pittsburgh is a big part of my family and I. In the photos, I was able to express my confidence and bubbly personality.
Which portrait is your favorite, and why?
I LOVE the one where I am in the middle of the road on the Roberto Clemente bridge because it shows my confidence and bubbly personality. Especially because I was in the middle of the road and that was fun to do.
What are you most excited about as you take your next steps after graduation?
I am most excited about going to see different parts of the world and making new friends.
What goals or dreams are you looking forward to exploring in the future?
I am aspiring to work in healthcare and pursuing a career as a physician. Throughout that long journey, I’m looking forward to enjoying each step with new experiences and new friends.
