As I was walking to meet this senior girl and her mother at Kennywood Park late this summer, I had make an effort to slow my breathing because the idea of capturing senior photos during the beautiful golden sunset at Kennywood Park that it made me giddy!! I was so excited to receive an email from her mother early in the summer with a portrait I had taken of her daughter back when she was in elementary school!
Are you from Pittsburgh?
I was born in Vero Beach, Florida and moved to Pittsburgh when 17 days old.
In your opinion, where is the best place to eat in Pittsburgh and what do you order there?
The Yard is the best. I recommend the Frank the Tank without the Gorgonzola cheese and onion straws.
What is the best thing about your high school?
The best thing about my high school is the art department and our new theater because of how much passion and happiness it brings me
Describe your family with one word.
My family is non-judgemental.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as unique, loud, compassionate and loyal.
If you took a road trip, where would you go?
I would go to California.
What kind of music do you enjoy?
I like Broadway/Theater music.
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
I like biking.
What are your plans for after high school?
I plan to attend CCAC for two years and then transferring (place TBD); I want a career of something in the arts.
How did you decide what to wear to your portrait session?
For the first outfit I went to the mall and found a good outfit in the colors suggested. For the second outfit, I tried to put my interests and personality into it.
How did you chose Laura Mares Photography?
My mom met Laura in MOPS when I was little. She took pictures of my family in the past.
What was the best part of your senior portrait session?
Getting Golden Nugget ice cream!
What was your favorite portrait from your senior portrait session?
My favorites are the ones taken by the fountains in Lost Kennywood.
