What to Expect at Your Lifestyle Studio Newborn Session!

Mi casa es su casa takes on a new meeting during lifestyle studio sessions! I love styling my studio to emulate homey vibes and with a detail oriented one-hour cleaning session before and after the shoot, there is no reason not to book soon!

As we transition into a time of photoshoots in this new season, I wanted to take the time to give you an in-depth explanation on what to expect during a Lifestyle Newborn Session in the studio in order to alleviate as much stress as possible and to maintain an overly cautious atmosphere!

We can start off covering my routine for cleaning the studio before, during and after the shoot.

Next, I’d love to walk you through the most popular props I use during a shoot and the overall flow of the session.

First, you enter the studio and get settled. I have space provided for families to place bags, extra clothes, changing pads and anything else you brought to the session. We can then decide on music and then get to business!

Some of my best and most raved about props are:

Antique wrought iron crib

Wooden Bench from Studio McGee

Huge window to provide natural light with lace curtains from Ireland

Natural colored wraps for your newborn

Additionally, the unique style of my studio itself provides one-of-a-kind artist portraits that you and your family will always treasure!

I have an ever growing collection of  varying plants around the studio… some of my favorites being my Monstera, Jade plant, and Rubber Fiddle Leaf. Additionally, during my unexpected free time in quarantine, I hand painted a gray and cream checkerboard floor to resemble a Parisian cafe (or at least that was my inspiration!)

After settling in, we’ll choose the props best for your family and then capture whole family shots, mother and newborn, father and newborn, and lastly your newborn alone in a variety of close up images.

I strive to maintain a socially distanced but relaxed atmosphere catered to your family’s wants, so if this kind of session sounds like it would fit the vibe your family is looking for, I’m excited to see you soon!
